Buffalo's Historic Polonia District

Welcome to the Historic Polonia District of Buffalo, New York – Home to some of the region’s most important cultural, ethnic and architectual landmarks. With the founding of St. Stanislaus Parish in 1873, the area became one of the largest Polish-American colonies in the world outside of Poland. Today the Historic Polonia District is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Western New York with nationalities from across the world calling it home. Discover century old churches, an old world public market, art-deco masterpieces and friendly neighborhood taverns.

Notible sites include the Broadway Market, St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Church, St. Adalbert’s Basilica, Corpus Christi Church, Buffalo Central Terminal, and The Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle.
